On Nov. 1 the headline read "Sandy shouldn't drive up gas prices." Another case of bull. Rob Forsythe, president of Belleville-based FKG Oil Co., states: Motomart gas stations should not be hit by the storm at the pump.
The same day the article hit the front page of the BND, the prices rose 20 cents per gallon. Once again we've had the "shuck and jive" pulled on us. The gas in the ground is the same gas they sold the day before for $3.19 per gallon, so in essence, their profit margin went up by 20 cents per gallon, period.
I say it's time to band together and do everything in our power to take away from these thieves' bottom line. Drive a little less, don't buy the stuff on their shelves, use your debit or credit card when buying -- that adds a cost to their processing. In other words, let's fight back. Make them suffer like they make us suffer. Hurt their wallets, because they don't care when they hurt yours.
