Health hazard needs attention

Published: November 11, 2012

It is so nice to drive through Washington Park and smell human waste and the odor in the air from it, which is a potential health hazard. My tenants complain of the odor in their houses because the odor comes back through the sewer drains. The canal is full of waste once again and apparently the pumps at the pumping station are still not working. The so-called elected officials don't give a damn because they don't stay here, but they are allowed to be mayor and board members. This hazard of health needs to be taken care of by either East Side Health, St. Clair County Health Department or the Environment Protection Agency. But don't hold your breath for it to be fixed because elections are over with.
