The eastbound lanes of Interstate 64 have been re-opened. At least for a little while.
According to the Missouri Department of Transportation, the lanes, which have been closed between Jefferson Avenue and the Poplar Street Bridge, were opened back up at about 8 p.m. Sunday after being closed or restricted while a concrete wall was moved.
New work on that stretch of highway is expected to start Wednesday, according to MoDOT. But all lanes are expected to be open during the morning and evening rush hours in order to keep traffic flowing as smoothly as possible.
