O'Fallon city employees have raised $18,696 for the United Way this fall, according to Mayor Gary Graham.
"The city is fortunate to have so many caring employees and elected officials working for us," Graham said. "It is through their generosity that we were once again able to raise significant dollars and provide critical funding to the United Way and the agencies they serve"
The city's United Way campaign ran Sept. 12 - 25. Graham said it included several games and competitions that were designed to get employees involved.
Graham said 2012 marks the 10th year the city has conducted an active United Way Campaign.
The United Way of Greater St. Louis is a local, non-profit organization that serves nine Illinois counties, six Missouri counties and the city of St. Louis. In 2012 the United Way of Greater St. Louis has donated more than $3.2 million to numerous agencies that provide services in the metro-east.
