Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts and Webelos will walk and drive through the metro-east Saturday morning to collect donated food sitting on doorsteps.
Residents who received a notice last weekend are asked to place donated nonperishable food items in a bag on their front porch for the boys to collect as part of the annual Scouting for Food drive.
Scouts will begin the collection around 9 a.m. Packs will take the donated food to local food pantries.
Residents who did not receive a Scouting for Food door hanger are encouraged to donate directly to local pantries.
