A Swansea man who was missing for several hours was found in O'Fallon Friday night.

John D. Penrod was found walking in O'Fallon after having been last seen about 1:30 p.m. Friday. Swansea Police Sgt. Scott Lieb said the 76-year-old man has Alzheimer's disease and his family had contacted police after the man did not return from his daily walk in Centennial Park, located near the man's home on Creekside Drive in the village. Police contacted the St. Louis police Department, which dispatched a helicopter with searchlights to help locate the missing man.
