Motorists who travel along westbound Interstate 270 between the Chain of Rocks Canal Bridge and the Chain of Rocks Bridge over the Mississippi River can expect nightly lane restrictions starting Monday, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The nightly lane restrictions will be in place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, weather permitting. The lane restrictions are necessary to repair the existing pavement.
