Belleville blotter: Three dogs abandoned by owners in vacant home

Published: November 19, 2012

The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:

Sunday

2:06 p.m. ANIMAL CRUELTY - 1000 block of Caseyville Avenue. Neighbors reported 3 dogs had been abandoned in the vacant residence. The officer found the door to the residence was unlocked. The officer and Animal Control entered the residence and located 3 dogs that had been neglected. Animal Control took custody of the dogs.

Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. For more police blotter news, read tomorrow's print edition of the Belleville News-Democrat and return to bnd.com.
