COLLINSVILLE — A semi truck overturned on Interstate 255 dumping its load about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to Illinois State Police.

Trooper Mike Link said the semi truck "took the turn a little too fast and it overturned." The truck traveling on I-255 near Interstate 55 dumped its load of 20 bushels of peat moss.

No injuries were reported in the accident, and traffic was not affected.

Link said he expects the driver will be issued a citation for failure to reduce speed. The driver's name has not been released.
