To all Republican candidates who lost on Nov. 6: Hang in there and don't give up on the principles that you believe in. Hold onto your values. You will be rewarded in the future.

I believe they were the better candidates. The Democratic machine in St Clair County makes the Chicago Machine under Mayor Richard M. Daley look like a cake walk.

The Democrats do whatever they please and there is no one to provide a balance in government. The MidAmerica Airport and the East St Louis Election Board are just two of the wasteful spending of money. The airport would be better run by a non-government entity and the ESL board of election should be abolished. Why is the St. Clair County Board still funding it?

When the voters are so ingrained in the Democrats and their socialist philosophy, where they expect the government to pay their way, they have no moral values and will never be productive in our society.

To those who cannot work and need help, their religious affiliates were more than willing to help. The federal government has no such role in our society.

The role of government is specified in the U.S. Constitution. The government should not intrude in people's moral values. It also should not infringe in the right of free speech and religion, as well as the right to bear arms.

Our forefathers left us a great US Constitution. Let's not destroy it now. Capitalism works.
