Belleville council holds special meeting on electric aggregation

Published: November 23, 2012

The Belleville City Council will meet Monday night for a special meeting on electrical aggregation.

On the agenda is a governance plan for municipal electrical aggregation and a resolution to allow the city to bargain for cheaper electricity supply prices on behalf of residents who do not opt out of the program.

Earlier this month, Belleville voters approved a referendum to allow the program.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 101 S. Illinois St.
