Pizza drivers need hazard pay

Published: November 24, 2012

The streets of today are just not safe. Lately there has been a new trend of robbing the pizza man. The latest incident was when a Hazelwood, Mo., man with a Spiderman mask robbed a Domino's Pizza delivery man at gun point on Nov. 9.

The pizza men who have been getting robbed did not apply for a job they thought they would get shot doing. As a teenager, I applied to many fast food companies including pizza places. When I was applying, I never thought that I was going to be the target of a robbery while delivering a pizza; I was just looking for a job. These victims are just doing their job and they don't carry very much cash on them anyway.

It is sad to see a job that is supposed to be a convenience to the person wanting food to turn into a convenient victim delivery for a criminal.
