East St. Louis man missing for a week

East St. Louis police are asking for the public's help to find a man missing for more than a week.

Dewey "Maine" Shy, 47, of East St. Louis, was last seen Nov. 17.

LaSelle Shy, a relative, said Dewey Shy is schizophrenic and was prescribed six medications.

He said he didn't think Dewey was taking the medications as they were prescribed.

Dewey Shy lived alone. He was discovered missing after LeSelle Shy went to his home.

Police Chief Michael Floore said, relatives reported that Dewey has not had any medicine since he left his home.
