Metro-east residents will face the coldest temperatures we've seen so far this fall Tuesday.
The high is expected to reach only 38 degrees under sunny skies. The temperature is well below the freezing mark as commuters head out the door to work. It was only 25 degrees in Belleville at 6 a.m.
Temperatures are expected to start to trend higher on Wednesday when the high will reach 50 degrees. Highs will be in the upper 50s for the rest of the work week and the mercury is predicted to reach 61 by Saturday.
