Gearing up for their annual Girl Scout cookie program, Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois will hold their annual Cookie College Jan. 12 at Lewis and Clark Community College in Edwardsville.
At Cookie College, Girl Scout Brownies and Girl Scout Juniors will learn the reasons why people buy certain items, how businesses target individuals and how positive customer service reflects on sales. Girl Scout Cadettes through Girl Scout Ambassadors will work on developing, marketing and selling their very own cookie product. All girls will hear from area businesswomen who will share their secrets to success.
Any Girl Scouts who would like to participate in Cookie College should contact The Girl Scouts of Southern Illinois at 800-345-6858.
Space is limited, and the deadline to register is Dec. 6.
Do you have an item for Education Matters or a school-related story tip? We want to know about it. Send your ideas to swuerz@bnd.com or call 239-2626.
