A truck overturned mid-day Wednesday during construction of the Belleville sewer plant expansion, but there did not appear to be any injuries.

A tractor-trailer from Korte & Luitjohan Contractors Inc. overturned sometime mid-day at the new Belleville Wastewater Reclamation Facility. The $40 million project is visible from Illinois 15, just east of the Illinois 159 intersection.

The driver suffered some bruises but was check out and not seriously injured, said Dineen Czar, attorney for the company. She said the cause of the accident is under investigation.
