Belleville blotter: Teen says lost driver tried to pull his arm into car

Published: November 28, 2012

The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:

TUESDAY

9:20 p.m. SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT - East B St. at N. Jackson. The victim, a 17-year-old male, reported he was walking down East B St. when a silver 4-door sedan, driven by an unknown heavy set subject, a male aged 25-30, asked him for directions. The victim stated when he approached the car to give the subject directions, the subject grabbed his hand and tried to pull his arm into the vehicle, toward his genitals. The victim struck the subject in the face with his fist and pulled away from him, at which time the subject fled the scene.

Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. For more police blotter news, read tomorrow's print edition of the Belleville News-Democrat and return to bnd.com.
