A week ago the high temperature couldn't crack 40 degrees. This Friday it was 42 degrees before the sun came up on the way to a high of 63.

That's 15 degrees warmer than the average high temperature of 48 for Nov. 30 in the St. Louis area, according to the National Weather Service.

Skies are expected to be mostly sunny throughout the day Friday with increasing clouds this evening.

On Saturday it is forecast to be cloudy. But the warming trend will continue through the weekend with a predicted high of 65 Saturday and near 70 degrees on Sunday and Monday. There is a 30 percent chance of rain Saturday night. Otherwise it should be dry until Monday evening when there is a 60 percent chance of showers.
