Daytime lane restrictions will begin Monday on the eastbound and westbound lanes of Interstate 64 between Illinois 111 and Illinois 157, according to Illinois Department of Transportation. The work will be done if weather permits.

The lane restrictions are necessary to perform shoulder and median work. This work is estimated to be completed by Dec. 21 with overall project completion slated for spring 2013.

The contractor on this project is Keeley and Sons Inc. of East St. Louis.
