Belleville blotter: Women arrested for drunkenness after approaching customers at gas station

Published: December 3, 2012

The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:

Sunday

12:33 a.m. DRUNKENNESS - Circle K, 2709 W. Main St. Officers responded to a report of two intoxicated females approaching customers and refusing to leave the business. Officers made contact with Arica Guy and Tomeka Smith. Guy and Smith were arrested for drunkenness, transported to headquarters and held pending bond.

Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. For more police blotter news, read tomorrow's print edition of the Belleville News-Democrat and return to bnd.com.
