What is stopping a solution to our fiscal crisis is that of promises to make cuts in spending and taxes some time in the future by Democrats. Which brings to mind the promises they made by the first President Bush. There is also the elegance to promises made by our present President Obama. That should make our Republican members of Congress say, "Thank you, but no thanks."
Put something on the table or just take the plunge. Obama has never been one to do that. Anything short of that will leave Republicans holding an empty sack.
