John and Sandee Gehrs of O’Fallon celebrated their 50th anniversary on November 22, 2012 with a trip to the East Coast in September and a family party on November 25, 2012.

John and the former Ms. Robbs were married on November 22, 1962 at St. Philips Church in East St. Louis, IL by Fr. Joseph Hansmann.

John is a retired meatcutter with Local 534 and is active with St. Clare Parish.

Sandee is a retired sales clerk and is active with Silver Belles and a Beau dance troupe, First Baptist Church of O’Fallon and was Ms. Senior Illinois in 2001.

They have 2 children: Gina (Jeff) Haberl of Waterloo, IL and Jill Gehrs of Maplewood, MO.

They have 3 grandchildren: Erinne Haberl, Melissa Haberl and Xavier Sykes.
