Former Highland standout lineman named All-America

Published: December 6, 2012

Illinois College junior offensive lineman Keith Lane, a Highland High graduate, has been named an All-America honorable mention selection by Beyond Sports College Network and an All-Region Third Team selection by D3football.com.

He also earned All-Midwest Conference honors this season along with former Marquette running back Cecil Brimmage (868 yards rushing, eight TDs).

Lane, who has not allowed a sack the last two seasons, helped the Blueboys (8-2) rank eighth in total offense and ninth in scoring offense in all of NCAA Division III. The Illinois College offensive line allowed only five sacks all season, the third-lowest total among Division III teams.
