It looks like, to me, that the champion of the overtaxed and small government, St. Clair Township Supervisor Tim Buchanan, should really apologize to his followers and his party -- and only hope that it would be faithful.
Buchanan needs a Rev. Jimmy Swaggart moment: "Don't do as I do, but do as I say. I have sinned at the public trough. Don't take a $70,000 plus public teacher pension as I do, it's shameful. Don't make a good, middle-class living off a $100,000-plus public school teachers salary as I did because it's evil. Don't take a $60,000 salary for a part-time township supervisor job as I do because it's also evil. Don't take public health insurance benefits at a cost of more than $20,000 for you and your family because it is so sinful.
"I have wallowed and slopped for too long now at the public trough. I am so very sorry. Please have it in your hearts to forgive me."
Yeah, right. I must have been dreaming. But his actions sure do sound hypocritical to me.
