CBS reports that former Cardinals outfielder Ryan Ludwick has agreed to a two-year contract to return to the Reds.

Ludwick was apparently close to signing with the Giants a few days ago. But that deal fell through when San Francisco re-signed infielder Marco Scutaro and then pulled Ludwick's offer from the table.

Terms of the agreement have not yet been made available.
