The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:
Sunday
9:19 a.m. DRUG OVERDOSE - Rotary Park, 110 N. 6th St. Officers responded to Rotary Park for a report of a subject down. Officers discovered the subject, 34, on the ground and unconscious. EMS arrived and transported the subject to an area hospital. She responded to treatment, but she was not cooperative with police except to say she was celebrating her birthday doing heroin. A male subject, 35, was with her but did not offer any information on the heroin she used. Both subjects stated they came to Belleville to go to Bethany Place.
Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. For more police blotter news, read tomorrow's print edition of the Belleville News-Democrat and return to bnd.com.
