If Congress would spend as much time trying to settle the fiscal cliff as they do on TV blaming each other, maybe they would get something done. But how do you settle anything when stupid is talking to stupid? They do not want to settle anything because the other party will get the credit.

The president runs off to other states crying on people's shoulders and the vice president is at Costco making jokes. We need to do away with the vicepresident, all senators and all representatives, period. That would pay off our national debt in no time. Let each state run itself. They could not do any worse.

At least do away with the Republican and Democratic parties. Let each person run on their own merits. Do away with the electoral college system.

Why should just a few states get to elect the president just because they have more people living there? Each state should get one vote. Whoever gets the most votes in that state gets the one vote. That's why people won't go vote. They know that their vote won't count. We have men and women dying in combat just to keep these goons in Congress free. The American people deserve better.
