Christmas season is upon us

Published: December 10, 2012

What a glorious season is upon us. Our savior was born into the world.

Many people are out of work; some have meager finances, and some are sick, or have lost loved ones. All of these situations wrench at our hearts, but that is all the more reason to celebrate Christmas.

Christmas is the birth of our savior who died on the cross for our sins and rose from the grave to live forever. Love was born into the world and His love is shed abroad in our hearts to comfort us in sorrow, give us hope in our despair, and to share that love with one another.

We do not worship gifts, or wealth, or jobs, or people. We celebrate the birth of our risen savior, Jesus Christ. Do not despair about Christmas. Christmas will come in all of its glory no matter what our circumstances may be. If you have nothing else to be thankful for, thank God that he gave us his precious son, our comforter and our hope.
