CAHOKIA — A letter carrier was shot in the leg Tuesday afternoon, apparently a random victim caught in crossfire, police said.
The U.S. Postal Service carrier was shot in the lower leg at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday while delivering in the 1200 block of Richards, said Cahokia Police Chief James Jones.

Lucille Robinson, the mail carrier's sister said the family is very thankful that the mail carrier, identified as Willie Frazier, is going to be all right.
"The bullet went straight through his leg. He is going to okay, though. Right now, he is in a lot of pain," Robinson said.
