Health care insurance still won't be affordable

Published: December 11, 2012

Let's look at the health care bill. The rally cry is "everyone gets insurance" That's not entirely true.

The poor have Medicaid. The rich don't need it. The ones who will be caught in the middle are those who work but are living check to check. How can they afford insurance? Since this will be under the IRS umbrella, what happens to the ones who can't pay the fine/tax?

The middle group will have to pay more at the stores because businesses will have to offer insurance. Or pay fines. Or cut employee hours to 29 per week or less. People will have to work two or three jobs and still not have insurance.

The best way would have been for the president to mandate the IRS to cut out the loopholes, tax deductions, Swiss and off-shore accounts. The companies like Verizon, GE, etc., that pay zero taxes shoud be made to pay their share. That money alone would pay for the heathcare.

Again, it's the middle getting caught. The poor pay almost no taxes and the rich deduct their way out of them.
