After a couple of days with cooler temperatures, the mercury will be on the rise Wednesday.
According to the National Weather Service, the high is expected to be 49 degrees in the metro-east under sunny skies throughout the day.
The temperature is expected to be 53 Thursday and 56 Friday with the next chance of rain rolling into the area Friday night when a 60 percent chance of showers is predicted.
