Two men were robbed at gunpoint Tuesday night by six suspects in unincorporated St. Clair County.
According to St. Clair County Sheriff's Department, the victims left an apartment in the 200 block of Freedom Drive at about 6 p.m. Tuesday when they were approached by six subjects in the parking lot.
One of the suspects asked the victims repeatedly "What's in the bag?" The second time a suspect asked the question the victims noticed a black barrel from an unknown type of gun pointed at him. The gun was covered by the suspect's sleeve.
The suspects took the bag containing a HP Laptop and Case, computer mouse and a Droid cell phone. In addition, the suspects got away with an iPhone 4, black leather wallet, silver and gold watch and white gold class ring. The stolen items are estimated to be worth more than $2,200.
Four of the suspects were described by the victims as black males in their 20s with dark hooded sweatshirts with the hoods up. The two other suspects stood at a distance, the victims told police, and appeared to be in their 40s.
The robbery remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Jason Robertson at 277-2505, ext. 5718.
