The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
BELLEVILLE POLICE
TUESDAY, DEC. 11
6:55 a.m. Residential burglary -- 100 block of Lebanon Avenue. The victim reported on Dec. 10 between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., his son/suspect entered the residence through an unsecured window and property was stolen.
8 a.m. Criminal damage to property -- 1100 block of Dawn Drive. The victim and a witness reported observing the suspect throw an object at the victim's car, damaging it. The victim signed a nontraffic citation for damage against the suspect.
10 a.m. Burglary -- Dollar Deals World, 5720 NorthBelt West, Suite 24. The manager reported on opening the business it was discovered property was missing.
10:52 a.m. Retail theft -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Johnnie C. Adams, 27, was arrested after taking a cart full of merchandise and exiting the store without purchasing the items. Adams was transported and later taken to court.
2:32 p.m. Residential burglary -- First block of West C Street. The victim reported between Dec. 4 and Dec. 11, unknown suspect(s) entered her residence and stole numerous items.
2:55 p.m. Retail theft -- Ben's Craft and Floral, 112 E. Main St. The suspect was arrested after concealing merchandise and leaving the store without purchasing the items. An employee followed the suspect, who was apprehended by officers in the 200 block of South Jackson. The suspect was transported and held pending investigation of retail theft subsequent.
6:50 p.m. Retail theft -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Justin Delker, 29, was arrested after employees observed him conceal items in the store and pass all points of sale without attempting to pay. Delker was detained until officers arrived and took him into custody without incident. Delker was transported and released after posting bond.
wednesday, dec. 12
12:21 a.m. Disorderly conduct -- 200 block of South 16th Street. John Call, 49, was arrested after officers responded to his residence for a loud noise complaint. Call, who was intoxicated, had already been warned during an earlier call for the same complaint. A nontraffic citation was signed against Call. Call was transported and held pending sobriety.
9 a.m. Disorderly conduct -- Our Town Realty, 7300 W. Main St. The victim reported Jeremy M. Calbreath, 28, created a disturbance in the business. Calbreath was arrested, transported and released with a notice to appear.
10:12 a.m. Theft -- Jackson Hewitt, 7 Bellevue Park Plaza. The business owner/victim reported between Dec. 3 and Dec. 12, unknown suspect (s) stole an air conditioning unit from the rear of the business.
2:38 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- Auto Medic, 1000 W. Main St. The vehicle owner reported she left her vehicle at the above business for repairs. When she picked the vehicle up she discovered property missing from it.
3:16 p.m. Criminal trespass to state supported land -- Westhaven School, 118 Westhaven School Road. Anita Hawkins, 32, was arrested for trespassing on school property after having prior notice that she was not allowed on the property. Hawkins was released with a notice to appear.
6:36 p.m. Burglary to garage -- 1900 block of Muren Avenue. The victim reported that between Dec. 8 and Dec. 12, unknown person(s) broke out a rear window on her garage, made entry and property was stolen.
9:28 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis -- 900 block of Freeburg Avenue. Richard E. Compton, 32, was arrested during a traffic stop after cannabis was located on his person and in the vehicle. Compton was transported, issued traffic citations along with the nontraffic citation for possession of cannabis and released after posting bond.
THURSDAY, DEC. 13
12:50 a.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis -- South Illinois at Illinois 15. Anthony L. Williams, 29, was arrested during a traffic stop after cannabis was located in his vehicle. Williams was transported, issued traffic citations along with the nontraffic citation for possession of cannabis, and released after positng bond.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 12
Johnny J. Sanders Jr., 37, of 124 N. 30th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and driving on revoked driver's license on Nov. 16 by Cahokia police. Sanders allegedly drove a gold 2001 Cadillac Deville on Mississippi Avenue in Cahokia, while the defendant was under the influnce of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked.
Joshua A. England, 19, of 408 E. Adams St., O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of resisting a peace officer, two counts of domestic battery, aggravated assault on Dec. 11 by O'Fallon police. England allegedly resisted the performance of Andrew Lampe of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Joshua England, knowing Patrolman Andrew Lampe to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he refused to be placed into a police car, and the actions of the defendants were the proximate cause of an injury to Lampe; knowingly made physical contact of an insulting or provoking nature with Daniel E. England, a family/household member, in that said defendant punched Daniel England in the face; knowingly made physical contact with Patricia L. England, a family/household member, in that said defendant punched Patricia England in her face; used a deadly weapon, in that he knowingly chased Daniel England, while swinging a butcher knife toward Daniel England, thereby placing Daniel England in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery.
