The Cardinals have signed 18-year-old right handed pitcher Alex Reyes, according to Baseball America.

Reyes is an American who grew up in New Jersey. But he was eligible to be signed as a foreign player because he went to live with family in the Dominican Republic for a year. He got a $950,000 signing bonus.

He's 6-foot-3 and reportedly as a fast ball that reaches 94 miles an hour. He also has a good change-up and a curve.
