Faith House opens free mall for needy

Faith United Baptist Church will open a free Holiday Love Mall for the Needy from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today (Dec. 15) at the church, 112 W. Washington St. in O'Fallon.

The Love Mall provides shoes, coats, household items, clothing and food to families in need.

"Normally, we assist up to 150 families, and this year, we'll double or triple that because of our friends at the 635th SCMG at Scott Air Foce Base, who are forwarding their donations to us," said the Rev. Willie Brown, pastor of Faith United, also known as Faith House.

The Love Mall will be available to metro-east families in need through 5 p.m. Christmas Eve.

Kids perform and collect shoes

The Pentecostals of Troy, 312 S. Main St. in Troy, on Wednesday will present "The Christmas Shoe Tree," a kids Christmas musical with a Soles4Souls challenge. They're asking audience members to bring new or gently used shoes for the less fortunate. Show time is 7 p.m. For more information, visit www.soles4souls.org.

Pentecostals sell Christmas cookies

Choir to sing Christmas concert

The combined Glory Choir and Children's Choir of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville will present "A Blest Messiah Born" by Larry Shackley at 7 p.m. Sunday. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall.

Preschool presents Christmas pageant

The Presbyterian Community Preschool will perform a Christmas Pageant at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First United Presbyterian Church, 1303 Royal Heights Road in Belleville. Victory Family to hold youth dance

Apostolic kids to stage musical

The Apostolic Church of Belleville's KidzMINISTRIES will present the musical, "The First Leon," at 7 p.m. Dec. 22 and 10 a.m. Dec. 23. Shrine to host dance celebration
