A new medical center that will provide care for low-income residents in Granite City will officially open Tuesday.
Construction of the new $8.8 million McKinley Health Center at 2166 Madison Ave. in Granite City is complete. A dedication ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. U.S. Rep. Jerry Costello, D-Belleville, is slated to attend this event as one of his last appearances in office before he retires Jan. 3.
Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation will operate the new building, which will provide service to 4,500 patients.
