Congratulations to the Belleville City Council for doing the right thing and selecting a power source based solely on cost. Shame on the council members who would set up residents to pay extra for questionable environmental improvements.

I live in the county and the environmental company came calling to get me to change. The representative didn't lie to me but she did present only part of the story. To her credit, the representative answered questions truthfully, but only when asked direct questions.

For those who want to spend extra for advertised environmental improvements, I'd certainly recommend they look into the option. City residents certainly may opt out and make individual decisions. For county residents and others, I'd suggest not deciding based on fast=talk solicitors but to do their own research.
