A new medical center that will provide care for low-income people in Granite City will open Tuesday.
Construction of the $8.8 million McKinley Health Center, 2166 Madison Ave., Granite City, has been completed. A dedication ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
U.S. Rep. Jerry Costello is slated to attend the event as one of his last appearances in office before he retires from Congress on Jan. 3.
Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation will operate the new clinic, which will provide service to 4,500 area patients.
