ST. LOUIS — St. Louis Rams right guard Harvey Dahl has a torn biceps tendon in his left arm. He'll undergo surgery on Wednesday and miss the final two games of the 2012 season.
Rams coach Jeff Fisher said Dahl will be placed on injured reserve.
Dahl, 31, has started 30 consecutive games over the past two years for the Rams.
"He's the kind of guy you want on your offensive line,'' Fisher said. "He finishes plays, he's tough, he battles. He just battles every play. We'll miss him for the next couple of weeks, but he'll find his way back.''
Fisher said Dahl, who has two years left on the four-year contract he signed with the Rams as a free agent in 2011, is facing a three- to four-month rehab process.
Fisher said either Shelley Smith or Chris Williams will fill Dahl's spot at right guard.
