We are now wringing our hands over the latest massacre du jour. And, as usual, the gun chorus is calling for "enforcement of existing laws" and repeating the litany that "guns don't kill people -- people kill people," and that a killer intent on killing can just as easily use a knife, a club, a brandy snifter, etc.
We have been blind-sided by a powerful weapons manufacturing industry wedded to a powerful weapons propaganda lobby headed by the National Rifle Association. They have succeeded in making any meaningful gun legislation taboo. How many more massacres will it take until patriots and parents stand up and shout: Enough!
