O'Fallon police are asking for help in tracking down a suspect who broke away from security officers at the Walmart on Highway 50 and escaped.

The man was apprehended by store security Tuesday after alledgedly stealing items from the store. Before he could be turned over to police, he pushed a security officer to the ground and ran off.

The suspect is a white male with a thin build and short dark brown hair. He was wearing a navy lightweight jacket and a pair of khaki pants.
