Funeral arrangements for former St. Clair County Sheriff Mearl Justus were released on Wednesday.
The wake will be 4:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Holy Family Church at 15 E. Church St. in Cahokia. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Church.
The funeral also will be live simulcast to the Knights of Columbus Hall at 100 E. Fifth St. in Cahokia. Following the funeral, there will be a procession to Valhalla Cemetery at 3412 Frank Scott Parkway West in Belleville.
Memorials may be made to the Programs and Services for Older Persons and Mearl J. Justus Scholarship Fund at Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville.
Justus, 81, died on Tuesday at Memorial Hospital in Belleville. He served as sheriff for 30 years and resigned last week.
