While it is incomprehensible to wrap your mind around the carnage of Newtown, I'm left with the question: How much news can we take? The national news media's wall-to-wall coverage of this horrific event serves only to encourage the next nut job looking for his place in the history books.
Already plans have been foiled for the next blood letting. Will the media take any responsibility for the copycats? We know the answer.
Freedom of the press is essential in a free society and I support it 100 percent. However, the editorializing of the news serves to undermine this freedom. I don't need anyone to parse the news for me. Don't attempt to tell me what to think,
I guess my TV will be off for the next month.
