BUNKER HILL — A 31-year-old Missouri woman died as a result of the slick roads Thursday near Bunker Hill, according to authorities.

The woman was identified as Erin Katherine Jarman, of Houston, Mo. Jarman was visiting relatives near Bunker Hill. The single-car crash occurred at about 3:30 p.m. on Rust Road.

A 2003 Ford Explorer driven by Jarman was traveling eastbound on Rust Road when the driver struck a utility pole, according to Macoupin County Sheriff's Department. Jarman was ejected from the vehicle.

Jarman was pronounced dead by Macoupin County Coroner Anthony Kravanya at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities said ice covered roads and windy conditions contributed to the crash.
