Fun for a good cause at Turkey Hill Grange

Published: December 21, 2012

On Dec. 10, Turkey Hill Grange held a quarter auction as a community service project. Our first quarter auction venture was a tremendous success and the total proceeds of $2,625 will be donated for Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. This will be accomplished through a non-profit organization with no overhead or expenses deducted.

We want to thank the many local businesses for their generosity in donating items or services to the auction. A special thanks goes to our event coordinator, Tracy Gombos of Highland, who brought us 38 vendors. Each vendor donated three items of the 140 items for the quarter auction.

Turkey Hill Grange is recognized locally and statewide for its community service projects. We are an all-volunteer organization with no paid staff or employees. Our members contribute their time and talents because they are dedicated to making our communities a better place to live. Membership is open to all who are interested in a family-oriented organization.
