As part of a restructuring, Madison County State's Attorney Tom Gibbons named Assistant State's Attorney Jennifer Vucich his first assistant state's attorney, effective immediately.

Vucich, of Bethalto, has been with the office since September 1999 when she was hired as a law clerk while attending St. Louis University School of Law.

Natalie Lorenz joined Mathis, Marifian & Richter Ltd. law firm as an associate. Lorenz was sworn in Nov. 1 by Judge Lloyd Karmeier of the Illinois Supreme Court during a ceremony at Gateway Center in Collinsville. Mathis, Marifian & Richter Ltd. has offices in Belleville, Edwardsville, Nashville and Clayton, Mo.
