Belleville Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a payment center Monday morning.

Capt. Don Sax said a man was seen attempting to rob the Cress Currency Exchange at 1423 W. Main St. at 9:09 a.m. Police do not know whether the man was armed or stole any money, Sax said.

The suspect was last seen behind the currency exchange building. He is described as a black male in his 20s, between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-6 and wearing a dark-colored hoodie.
