FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS — Firefighters battled a two-alarm house fire at about 9:25 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Ashland Avenue, just off of Old Collinsville Road.
Firefighters from Fairview and French Village were on scene. Northwest Fire Protection District was on standby at the Fairview firehouse.
The home was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived with fire in the kitchen, fireplace, attic and furnace.
No one was home at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported.
A MedStar ambulance was on standby at the scene. Personnel from Ameren Electric were also called to the scene.
