The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
BELLEVILLE POLICE
MONDAY, DEC. 24
7:21 a.m. -- Burglary to residence -- 1800 block of West Main Street. The reporting party stated he located a damaged lock on the door to an apartment. The reporting party notified the landlord and the police department. It is unknown at this time if any property was missing.
8:29 a.m. -- Burglary to vehicle -- 300 block of South 16th Street. The victim reported unknown person(s) entered his unlocked car and property was stolen.
9:12 a.m. -- Armed robbery -- Cress Currency, 1423 W. Main St. An employee/victim reported a person described as a black male in his early 20s, approximately 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6, wearing an oversized black hooded sweatshirt and dark colored pants, entered the business and attempted to gain access to the office. The suspect fled on foot and was last seen at the rear of the business.
11:51 a.m. -- Burglary to vehicle -- First block of Hi Point. The victim reported between Dec. 22 and Dec. 24 unknown person(s) entered her vehicle and property was stolen.
12:19 p.m. -- Theft of copper wiring -- along Illinois 161 east of Lebanon Road. An AT&T representative stated between Dec. 21 and 23, approximately 1,000 feet of copper wiring was removed from utility poles.
5:31 p.m. -- Overdose/possession of drug paraphernalia -- 700 block of East Adams Street. Officers responded to a report of a drug overdose. On arrival, officers located the subject unconscious on the couch. Next to the couch, officers located multiple drug paraphernalia items. EMS responded and transported the subject to an area hospital for treatment.
6:14 p.m. -- Burglary to residence -- 800 block of Centerville Avenue. The victim reported returning home and discovering the window open to his residence and property missing. The victim stated the incident occurred between noon and 6:14 p.m. and that the window had been left unlocked.
9:55 p.m. -- Traffic stop/possession of a controlled substance/driving revoked -- 2000 block of Belleville West Parkway. The driver/suspect was arrested during a traffic stop when officers discovered he was driving on a revoked license. A controlled substance was located in the suspect's vehicle. The suspect was transported to police headquarters and later transported to St. Clair County Jail, held pending further investigation.
11:18 p.m. -- Domestic battery -- First block of Dale Allen Drive. The victim reported her boyfriend/suspect battered her during an argument. The suspect fled the scene prior to officer arrival.
TUESDAY, DEC. 25
3:05 p.m. -- Residential burglary -- 400 block of Highwood Drive. The victim reported sometime during the last 24 hours, unknown person(s) kicked open a rear door to the residence and property was stolen.
6:48 p.m. -- Domestic battery/theft -- 200 block of South 17th Street. The victim reported getting into an argument with her boyfriend/suspect, at which time the suspect threw her to the floor and struck her about the head with his fists. The suspect was gone prior to officer arrival.
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 26
12:28 A.M. -- Traffic stop/possession of a controlled substance -- North Douglas at Oak. The three occupants of the vehicle were arrested during a traffic stop after officers discovered a controlled substance in their possession. The suspects were transported to police headquarters and later transported to St. Clair County Jail and held pending further investigation.
Blotter: 12/27/12
3:29 p.m. Residential burglary -- 500 block of North 40th Street. The victim reported sometime within the past 24 hours, unknown person(s) entered her apartment through an unlocked window and property was stolen.
6:05 p.m. Attempted burglary -- 500 block of North 40th Street. The victim reported between 11 a.m. and 10 p.m., a window screen was torn off, but entry was not made to the residence.
6:22 p.m. Burglary -- Old Timer Inn, 341 Centerville Ave. A rear door was forced open and entry was made to the building. Nothing was reported stolen.
7:45 p.m. Attempted retail theft -- Family Dollar, 4517 W. Main St. An employee reported an unknown subject attempted to steal merchandise from the store. When the employee called the police the unknown subject fled the scene on a bicycle. The subject was later identified.
8:38 p.m. Burglary to storage unit -- 1300 block of North 17th Street. The victims reported an unknown subject made entry into their storage unit and removed all of their property from the unit.
10:17 p.m. Retail theft -- Shop N' Save, 4201 North Belt West. Store security reported Brichardii Lee concealed items on her person and passed all points of sale when she was stopped and detained. Lee was arrested and transported to police headquarters. Lee was released on a notice to appear for the retail theft and transported to St. Clair County Jail for a warrant out of Jackson County, Mo.
10:40 p.m. Possession of cannabis -- Old St. Louis Road at Woodhaven. A passenger, Marcus M Parker, 21, was arrested during a traffic stop after being found in possession of cannabis. Parker was transported to police headquarters and later released after posting bond.
THURSDAY, DEC. 27
2 a.m. Battery -- Blue Agave, 307 E. Main St. Officers responded to report of a fight in the street outside Blue Agave. A bouncer at the bar was attempting to remove an intoxicated customer. The customer became combative outside, where two other subjects began to fight the bouncer. The subjects, Justin M. Reno, 31, and Benjamin T. Framsted, 31, were located and arrested. Both were transported to police headquarters and later released after posting bond.
2:28 a.m. Disturbance -- 100 block of North 45th Street. Officers responded to a report of a disturbance where a subject displayed a handgun. Contact was made with the caller, who was under the influence and gave several different stories. Contact was made with the occupants of the residence and it was discovered the caller had been asked to leave after being involved in an argument with one of the occupants. The claim of a handgun was unfounded.
