Obama's dividing America

Published: December 27, 2012

I hardly think the Republicans are being uncooperative with the Democrats. Seems we forgot President Obama's 2008 running pledge of reaching across the aisle. He burned every ounce of teamwork he had with the Republicans, passing a health care bill with more than 2,000 pages in the middle of the night, that even Nancy Pelosi said she hadn't read.

Is a health care plan needed? Yes, but Obama did it the wrong way. Where has the budget plan been for the last three years? Democrats could have passed anything they wanted the first two years he was in office; they controlled the House and Senate. They did nothing and then spent the last two years running for office.

Obama stood at the bully pulpit and said he was going to push forward with his agenda whether the Republicans like it or not, but it would be nice if they went along. Gee, what a nice team-building exercise that was.

Democrats are defensive, blame former President Bush, the weather and Republicans for everything and then create class warfare between citizens. I don't think the rich would mind paying more in taxes, if the money wasn't wasted.

It is Obama's job to lead and put deals together. If he can't manage or negotiate with a team of diverse people, he needs to step aside.

I feel Obama is dividing the nation.
